What is Tricky Women EXTENDED?

Since 2020, Tricky Women Tricky Realities has been a hybrid festival taking place in cinemas in Vienna and online internationally. We are delighted to accompany the festival for the second time in the Events VOD CLUB. In cooperation with the festival, we are presenting a large part of this year's program online and are now offering an exclusive preview to get you in the mood for the festival.

The complete program is available online on our website. Most of the programs shown at the festival will be available online for 48 hours starting on the day of the cinema screening. The available programs can be found in the program booklet and on Tricky Women. For licensing reasons, however, parts of the programs are only available in Austria or are not available online. Information on this can be found on the respective film pages.

In addition, we are now showing an exclusive pre-screening in cooperation with TWTR, featuring a curated selection of films in the KINO VOD CLUB. The program includes current Austrian animated films by women and/or genderqueer artists, as well as curated programs featuring animated films by Maria Lassnig and subversive (self-)portraits. The selection is complemented by texts, interviews , and additional material that offers further insights into the works and their context. Ideal for bridging the gap until the festival or accompanying it!

Tickets for individual programs can be purchased for €3.90. For the festival programs, you can buy an online festival pass for €30 or the We love you online pass for €50, which allows you to support the festival.

KINO VOD CLUB is a streaming platform in cooperation with our partner cinemas throughout Austria, which can be selected for each stream and thus directly participate in the revenue. In the framework of Tricky Women EXTENDED , the Metrokino, where the festival takes place in Vienna, is supported with one-third of the revenue.

Online Festival Passes

There are three types of tickets available for the online program during the Tricky Women Realities Festival: individual tickets for €3.90 per program, an online festival pass for €30 for all online programs, and the WE LOVE YOU online pass for €50 for all online programs, which also supports the festival!

We also offer a discounted price of €10 for all short film programs from the pre-screening program for our pre-screening program before the festival.

Please note: These tickets only apply to programs online, they will not be accepted at the cinema—cinema tickets are available via Tricky Women website or at the Metrokino.
