The Woman Who Turned Into A Castle: A young spirit in the body of an old woman. At least, that is how the protagonist feels. Kathrin Steinbacher's animation brings the perception of a mentally ill person into focus: neurasthenic montages, unsettling perspectives, the dissolution of the world into abstraction, and eerie sound design convey states of anxiety in the face of a reality that remains inaccessible and has been lost—before which one capitulates and retreats inward.
